Hannibal is contemplating whether to go outside.
He was responsible for quite a bit of Xmas scare. On Xmas eve he seemed kind of tired, slept more than usual (in one of the gift boxes), and had labored breathing.
We assumed a cold. Emergency vet (on Xmas day 1) claimed that he suffered from a heart condition and made it sound like he would soon die. We were all devastated.
Follow-up examination at our local vet after the holidays confirmed it was just a cold after all. He got an antibiotics shot and was almost back to his old self an hour later.
If we had listened to the first diagnosis he might have died if the cold had been left untreated.
I guess it's always a good idea to get a 2nd opinion.
