I think this is an excellent execution of a round date window.
Cape Cod may be a little harsh, but it would certainly work on a acrylic crystal. Poly Watch should clear it right up. Even toothpaste might do it.

The premium tips are better quality than the standard. So if you break a tip on the standard bar, you can just replace it with the premium tip and basically get the same thing as the premium spring...
