Great watch!
You know I hate polishing, but definitely skip it on this one because the case is plated. Leave it as it is, especially because the plating is fragile and thin.

When did you get this? I must be out of the loop!
Superb watch. That's all. Good luck to those entering.
You're quickly becoming quite the Timex aficionado.
Come on, Shameless. I already admitted I was wrong. No need to rub it in.

So it sounds like later 76100s feature the mercedes hand.
Research, research, research is all I have to say. I've dumped countless hours into researching brands and specific references of watches I'm interested in. And, hell, I even learned something new...
Very interesting...
Many people seem to agree that the lollipop hand is correct, and that a Mercedes hand could be a replacement. But I'm happy to learn otherwise.
Here's another...
I recently saw another unpolished, original example for $4,500 USD, but I paid quite a bit less than that. Note that the watch should have a 9315 bracelet with 380 end links. Make sure that's correct...
Don't do the 76100. $1,200 + the value of your Heritage Chrono is too much. I got mine for significantly less (in USD, though) in untouched condition, meaning no polishing, perfect patina, and with...
Let's inject some activity into the high-end sub-forum, shall we?

Try Flickr, though I'm not sure if it compresses or not.
What's your IG?
It's a Seiko panda! 🐼
In real life, I think it looks a bit plain. The model with guilloché has more life to it.
Agree with everything above. :-!
Did you end up sending your dad's watch to ABC?
Glad to see everything finally worked out.
For some time now, I've been interested in this watch because Phil is from my home state. The design is also very refreshing. No other watch looks like...
In my experience, the ampersand, as well as the accent over the second E in Genéve, aren't reproduced correctly.
In general, redials, for any brand, are usually very easy for me to catch. The...
I've heard the NYC boutique has some, too. I've been there, but I believe it was before VC started offering vintage watches they had restored.
So who's going to come to the dark side and get an RL? Anyone brave enough yet?
Stumbled across this old VC ad. Look closely at the straps.

Realized I didn't answer part of your question, mlcor. You just get lucky finding watches like this. Or you know the right...
Lovely thing, isn't it?
Hopefully. I've been preaching about the quality for a while now, but all the skeptics always came out of the woodwork.
And onto the IWL Instagram account it goes.
