New combat sub on the way. Is it a dive watch or a diver inspired watch?

Only five more days till my Glycine Combat sub arrives. I didn't buy it as a diver per se, I just like the look. I think its form over function here. Does anybody actually use dive watches for diving?

Like many other watches, I put it in the dressy diver group. It has all the specs of a dive watch, so yes, it's a real diver but a bit more polished than your usual tool diver.

My guess would be that 100% of watch enthusiast that also dive, wear a watch while diving. Think about it, it couldn't be otherwise ; )

And congrats for the sub! It's a very nice looking piece and Glycine makes good watches. I particularly like the fact that it's a slim and well proportioned watch for the average human wrist. Enjoy and don't forget to post pictures when received!

I'm glad you picked that model. That's my favorite.

I can't wait to see wrist shots. If you have time, please give the diver lovers a review.

Beautiful watch, and I'd say definitely a real diver. Glycine makes real world watches for real world use. Wouldn't be surprised to see the odd Military Diver wear one either. I think these are a bargain and a great looking watch. I'd go for either yours or the stainless/black model.

Even a broken watch shows correct time once or twice a day. I ought to know, I have a few!

You are getting the color combo that I am looking hard at too for my second Sub.

My other Combat Sub I take diving, driving, exercising, working on cars, and once in a while out to dinner. It handles everything with ease and still looks good and wears very comfy on the wrist.

    They are great watches.

Its a diver styled sports watch.

Why is it so hard to fully index the bezel??? Adequate WR and a good timing bezel isn't too much to ask. Too many companies are more interested in style than function.

Full index would be too busy IMO. I think "dressy diver" is appropriate.
