Thread: When it just didn't work out.....

When it just didn't work out.....

Have you ever been struck by a watch, something in a style new to you, bought it confident that you like it, been initially pleased with it - but after a while found that it's just not been getting any wear?

Pictures are nice, obviously; explanation of how the watch differed from the rest of your collection: essential!

I have one of these.... Seiko Alpinist. I thought it was very "out of Africa"ish and as a semi dress watch much different than anything else in my dive watch/ tactical watch collection. I opened the box, strapped it on, took it off, took pictures and sold it in a day or two.

Too stuffy, too small, too uppity...just didnt work for me....

    pic borrowed....

When I saw it in the flesh I was very surprised at how small and cute it is.

Yeah I forgot about that. My wrist is pretty normal at a little more than 7 1/2" but it looked soooo small.

Loved everything but the lug length. Thought I could pull it off. Nope

Sticking out so far they have the effect of belittling the bezel, too. Odd!

I hate when that happens! Had to buy an extra half link so my PO would fit as it should. Love the PO bracelet but hate that it doesn't have micro adjustments. All bracelets should have adjustable clasps, like the Pelagos or the Sub C.
