Correction - just found out, flying to Stansted (it was cheaper to fly there than Norwhich). Renting a car for the day to drive to Hethel.

But I don't like couriers who suddenly go off-grid !!?!?

I was tracking it until delivery 38 , he was two away from me...... then it changed to "It'll probably get delivered today"

    Maybe he's had a breakdown !?

    It is epic, indeed.

On the other hand... It could also be a fun piece to wear. And no, I'm not kidding. Sometimes I feel this hobby of ours is way too serious.

I just wish I was near a Hodinkee event...

It's actually pretty interesting as far as Richard Mille $80 "homages" go. Seiko NH39 has the open balance and the round bit above that is a day-night indicator. The background circle on the dial appears to be a mirror, and the dial is extremely three-dimensional/layered. There's two textures of the crazy case colouring, mirror polished and blasted. It's just so ... alien. It's like they managed to out-Richard Mille Richard Mille, at least in crazy look-at-me styling.

Yes, that is a tiny, functional, handwind watch movement with sweep center seconds.

    No, I don't smoke.
