I've thought about it but haven't delved yet. I have all the correct glasses for their respective drinks - red wine, white wine, champagne, sake, shot, high ball, short, and a cairn glass (number 5), but I don't like to drink whisky from it - I prefer a tumbler - bad shot, but it's mine
However, I could be convinced to get some cut crystal glasses. Should I?
I remember that CanadianStraps was chasing some expensive elusive thistle glasses at one point, I think?

I wouldn't call myself a collector, but I do enjoy drinking whiskey out of a good glass. I have a few different kinds of rocks glasses at home, and they really do add the experience of a whiskey.

I do not collect as such but I deeply appreciate the experince of drinking whiskey from a decent piece of crystal. I have the full array of American Bar whiskey glasses- scotch, whiskey, bourbon etc as well as a small assortment of Old Fashioned glasses.
I am currently favouring these (picture shamelessly harvested from the internets)

Geoff is correct, I spent an enormous amount of time tracking down a vintage Edinburgh Crystal whisky glass in the thistle pattern, it is my favourite scotch vessel by far.
Currently puttering in the shop enjoying some Irish whiskey in a reidel glass they designed for water, but I think better suits a dram. It is very fine, no more than a few sheets of paper in thickness, even in the corners. Lovely in the hand.
