What is the must have 'Affordable' ?

Debate rages about what makes an 'Affordable?

If we take $1000 as the ceiling what would you recommend as the must have/haves?

Oh and 1000 is quite a high ceiling for many

I would say at least one Seiko 007/009/monster/5 or one of the JDM ones. A Russian of some sort. And maybe a micro brand

In my view, one of the Poljot designs that are quickly disappearing from the market. This is a 3105 but the 3133 is another fine machine.
