Anybody bid on the Ploprof case last week?
There was a case with bezel. Nut, datewheel, crown, pusher and a few other random parts. I thought I might be able to snag it at around $500 but the ending was typical Ebay $1113. I had big plans too. I was going to source a movement, crystal and everything to get it working and then have an Omega tech build it out for me. No such luck

Good news, you can get a Ploprof dial now for $360. One more step on your way to a $10,000 home-build.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

The Dude Abides
eBay, the black hole of watch parts. Everything $$$ goes in and nothing (worth mentioning) comes out......

This poses a very interesting question about a watch being worth more than the sum of its parts. Anyone know component costs?

I really don't. Which makes me glad I didn't win this thing. No telling what would have happened. I can pick up a total watch for probably less than $5000 USD

Looks like a fortune for a scrappy watch parts ensemble
