I really loved that watch, but the problem for me was that when I put it on, I liked it less: the particularly shade of blue (rich not dusky) with the red seconds hands gave me expectations which the feel on my wrist didn't match up with. The shinier Luch makes for a better match in my head. Not having any diver or tool watches Bluey was my equivalent of a sports watch

But I only reached that conclusion after wearing it a lot. I certainly don't think 35mm is too small in itself - I've three others that size.

Well just lately i have been making a few purchases on the Sekonda front , mostly second hand and some in more need of work than others and i have posted here and there , so iv'e decided as i get them in some sort of working condition i will put them here . Don't get to excited as most are well worn pieces but i like to keep them going if i can. DW.

Today's offering is a 25 jewel auto with gold plate , it has a few scratches on the crystal (you don't say) and the rotor is a bit wonky but after winding up and wearing for 13 hours it's only 4 secs out All for a tenner.

    A worthy project, Dave!
Both rescuing the watches and sharing them here with us
    Thanks!

Did a bit of googling, and that's a Slava 2427 under there. Here's an article on that same model :-)

    Here's my Sekonda with a 2427 movement.

Unfortunately it has the dreaded "worn rotor mount" problem and I'm finding it impossible to source a good one.
Did find a NOS 2428 (for €1.50 ) though so could use that instead or keep it if I find a manual wind worthy.

Thanks for that link Kath . The idea i have is to try and restore a few models and have a few doners at the moment .The main problem is i only intend to get them working to wear not sell on and in the short time iv'e been doing it prices are starting to shoot up because people are treating them as a comodity instead of admiring them for what they are which i find sad .But still i will try and get a few more together. DW.
