    Peter Kay without a doubt.

The Tour That Didn't Tour Tour, Now On Tour was seen by 1.2 million people and he holds the record joint with Prince for the most consecutive nights at the O2 in London.

Not Tim Vine surely? He's terrible. His whole show consists of saying 1 liners one after another with no story/context in-between

think lee macks funny the other guy he just the line feeder in my opinion. but it sort of works in... not going out... but I don't think either would work as a stand up live type gig but works well for a telly series

kind of like david gorman but that more a slightly on reality then a comedian maybe ?

I think I'm going to say Eddie Izzard. But Dave Chappelle, Donald Glover (even though I've only seen two of his specials, I almost died laughing both times), Mitch Hedberg, Steven Wright, and Louis CK all deserve honorable mentions.

Peter Kay and Eddie Izzard would certainly be on the short-list.

Billy Connolly too. In his prime he was virtually inventing the genre that exists today.
