LUME that won't fade, and not tritium

Calm down - it does not exist.

But imagine having full-strength lume for 12 hours at a stretch.
No, not Indiglo, I mean LUME ON HANDS and INDICES.
Let's say it's Battery powered - and does not drain the battery at all. (Please don't get academic about battery technology. )
You can just switch it on and off.
Would you wanna leave it on all night?

    OK, now get excited.

    Miniature EL tape markers. Drool.
Could be done on dial but not on hands though.

I have been thinking about putting SMD UV led's inside a mechanical watch to charge the lume continuously

If a perma-lume tech was available (again not tritium tubes, but BIGGER AND FATTER), do you think it would revolutionize the watch industry in any way?
    At least in sales, probably.

Well you could consider putting UV EL tape around the dial in the rehaut ring, and power it with the rotor?

Would be cool! My wife still rolls her eyes when I charge the lume under lamps :-\
