    Also it's far too cheap for an inauthentic one - iirc the cottage industry churning them out charges over $500

    Looks great, mleok. You know, I've never seen these old Glashuttes in person. The dial looks like a stunner.

    There's a certain irony to the authenticity of the watch being certified by the fact that it's too cheap... sort of like saying that it's too poorly put together to be a fake.

    Looking at the movement and case, it does look authentic, and the case does have some signs of light wear, particularly at the pry point for the caseback where the chrome plating has worn off a bit and the underlying brass is visible.

    Thanks, I saw a photo of one on a thread on WUS, and decided to search for one on eBay on a whim. The dial is quite interesting indeed, under a loupe, it appears very similar to the finish on the case of my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical watch, which is to say that it has an almost sand blasted texture to it. It's certainly the first time I've ever seen a dial with this kind of texture.
