For that price, my Choice (in automatic watches) would be Seiko 5 line.. i have great experience with them..
robust, run well and long lasting.. what's not to love? (unless luxury look/pricetag is an option)

for digital/analog quartz.. $75 got me these 3.. and they are all a keeper..

the Casio fishing gear is amazing watch for $36.. the Alba Chrono run very solid.. hardlex crystal, seiko 12hours 1/10 chrono movement with long battery life and solid stainless case..
and the last, the nerdy F91w that i wear a lot during making straps since it is easily cleaned, legible and reliable (mine is also pretty accurate with +1sec/week accuarcy), plus i got mine for $6.5 ...

The Orient Mako is one of the greatest watches at any price.
