Couple o' new Grand Seiko models...
Just noticed two new Grand Seiko automatics. SBGR087 and SBGR089.
SBGR087 is 37mm, 13mm thick, display backs, no screw-down crown, with a nice silver dial and blued seconds hand, while the SBGR089 shares the same dimensions but gets a steel seconds hand and a very nicely patterned brown dial. Quite nice I think....

The 087 is about $2,800 on Rakuten. I wonder what AD prices will be.

They look good, dial textures look a bit different. They're not a lot different than current models but then more Grand Seikos is always a good thing

Love those. They look better than my Snowflake.

They look really good. Grand Seiko textured dials are the right amount of interesting without looking tacky. I wonder if the bracelets from the SBGR053/51 will fit.

Not to me, they don't. I'd need to see better pictures, but aren't these ever so slightly 'blocky'?

I have a love-hate relationship with my Snowflake right now. Don't take my comment too seriously.
But I do like the GS models posted above because they're simple and still interesting with the subtly textured dials. ...which I guess is part of what drew me to the Snowflake in the first place.

Hate + snowflake ? Do those words even belong together in the same sentence?
Somewhere right now, Domo has a tear running down his cheek

A tear of joy, perhaps. Look at the photo I posted in post #1, then look at me - it's like a commemorative Domo L.E. wouldn't you say? I think I've just been immortalised in Grand Seiko history
