**** The hunt for the perfect white dial watch ****

Well this goes back to a chat with Oh-d in a cafe in a museum a year or so ago ( hope you are alright Kath mate not been seen in awhile ) so got talking about russian we both have a love of soviet era russians in particular but we seem to have the same taste for the same type of watch in general from. smiths to g10 to 3133 and 3017 and of course vostok ,Raketa's ,Sekonda, Timexs and the little known Swiss brands we got chatting as I said about the classical white dial watch and Kath said how she had bought lots of different ones but had not found the one .

I to had been searching and still am ...
    some of mine ...

But still to find the wow one for me the closest so far was the Luch...

So have you been hunting too have you found yours or are you just about to start looking would love to hear your thoughts guys/girls on what you think the classical white dial is

Very few 'white' dials around, cost a small fortune to find that out as most are silver/grey/shades of.

    Still look though

16Y is a shade of, matt which doesn't reflect as the gloss do, still a lovely dial.

Hope they upgrade this look, not sure whether a white would be better than a pale silver though.

    their nice

but what do we call the classical white dial to be..

for me it is very minimalist not a lot of functions say like this

    kinda less is more

was looking at the sekonda 2209 roman dial maybe

Ah, got you. Light classic 30-50'ish.

Always liked the less is more. Pobeda , Marine myself. Haven't found 'the' Marine yet , work in progress
Sewills had a few that were being saved for but went belly up before had a chance.

    3001 is ace

A great alrounder classic (silver grey though) is the ZunGu imo, even has good lume.

The white dial three-hander was the most commonly seen Chinese watch in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I have dozens of them. For example:

HMT made a number of white dial Janatas

    Maybe vintage Swiss?

My collection of Vintage Chinese Mechanicals can be seen at myvcms.com
