Christmas Vacation at the top of the list with A Christmas Story in 2nd. Other movies/shows we watch every year are Elf, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Home Alone, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (50th anniversary this year), The Polar Express, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

It's funny, movies like A Christmas Story never really resonated with me. I didn't grow up Christian, so Christmas wasn't a high pressure affair. We exchanged gifts, we had a fake tree a few years when I was really young, but I couldn't relate to the family Christmas stuff.

    Christmas Vacation, and Christmas Story.

This year a pop-up Christmas store had the eggnog punch moose mugs:

They were actually pretty well made, nice heavy glass, but they were like $20 each and I didn't want them bad enough to justify it. You can't just have one of them, you've got to have a set, and they had the matching punchbowl as well, another $80. The price wasn't the only hurdle, they take up a lot of space as well (can't stack them, etc) so it ultimately just looked like more of a big hassle for something that would be out for 2 weeks a year. Still cool though.

I did buy this for the wife though, because of her favourite Christmas movie (which I don't mind, but can live without seeing it 10x year):

It is now my duty to completely drain you.
