The best song from the year you were born.

Go back and find out what your favorite song was in the year of your birth and post them here. I actually really enjoyed having a look at how things have changed. It kind of cheered me up given some of the sadness that occurred here in Australia today. It looked like life was a whole lot more simple in those days and the music was awesome. So after much deliberation here is my birth year hit.

    Regards Cam

Hmmmm, having looked I've never heard of half of them - tbh it's not my favourite year for music
    But here you go:

What a difference a day makes - Dinah Washington

Far too many options from 1985 - Don Henly boys of summer, "Broken Wings" – Mr. Mister, "I Want to Know What Love Is" – Foreigner...; I'll be festive and list one of my favourite Christmas songs

Shakin Stevens- You have pulled that one from left field Geoff. I preferred Kyrie from Mister Mister.

If I look at the dutch Top 100, there's only a few people here might actually know. I guess Imagine by John Lennon is one of them
From the UK list, there's a few famous options, like 'I'll be there - The Jackson 5', Your song - Elton John'' , and of course 'Brown Sugar - The Rolling Stones'

I was quite curious as to what 'Ernie (The Fastest Milkman In The West)' by Bennie Hill is. So ...
