I've never owned a fountain pen before but I've given idle thought to dabbling in them. The reason I haven't so far is that the nice ones are hella spendy, and I've always suspected the cheap ones are junk. However, those TWSBIs sound nice. I also love Lamys so I might also try a Vista. Part of the reason for my interest in fountain pens is the inks that are available for them. Some of them look really beautiful.

I think Parker Sonnets are under appreciated. They were intended to replace the iconic Parker 75. They fill the niche of a reasonably sized slim fountain pen, easy to carry in a shirt or jacket pocket. With one or two exceptions, I have found to be good writers.

Thanks, I agree. The brand causes them to be overlooked. I own "nicer" pens, but I have two Sonnets for a reason. The size works well for me, and they are very good writers

How do you like the slim? I have a standard Ti Bolt from Tactile Turn.

I prefer it, in large part because I often carry it in my pocket for meetings lol. Really like the weight as well

It feels like the perfect pen to me. I like the size and it's a perfect weight. I've had it clipped in my front right jeans pocket most of the day.
