Parker is coming out with a revamped line where the quality really shows. That is the nice thing currently; there are plenty of choices!

*If* I ever got into pens, I think I'd choose a Parker.

I used a Jotter when I was younger, but I've become addicted to the free flow of gel pens. That's why I'm really looking forward to the Everyman Grafton pen, which uses a Pilot G2 insert.

The flow off of a good FP has me addicted. And you can change the color to match your mood! That said, I know that they aren't for everyone. I am happy to enjoy mine.

Fountain pens flow smoothly, but I write fast and small, so I've never found one fine enough. I use .5mm or smaller.

Like I said, they are not for everyone. I have a vintage Parker 51 with a fine nib that writes very smoothly. The "gills" in the feed section hold plenty of ink so you can write plenty fast. . That said, as you get a finer point, it is more important that you line it up with the paper properly or you will get scratchiness.

Roller ball pens are out there for a reason.
