I understand. But keep in mind that a “broad” or “bold” rollerball cartridge is an entirely different matter from a “broad” fountain pen nib.

One commonality between nibs and roller refills is that there is no consistency among brands. A modern Parker Duofold medium nib will feel more like a MB or Pelikan broad nib. A G2 “broad” refill will feel different than a MB “broad” refill. Fineliner and fiber tip refills also have widely varying definitions of fine, medium and broad or bold.

I will say I’m enjoying trying new tips/refills and trying to improve my handwriting.

Worst case scenario, my daughter will enjoy using those I don’t like.

Bought these back when penuseek existed. Not sure where to find quality, pre-owned pens now. Ebay doesn't appeal

    Beautiful.

I am still very pleased with my Machine Era Pens. The classic is loaded with a Montblanc Refill and writes like a dream.
