Stunning.
I'm downtown for a seminar the next two days, so went looking around, hoping to see if anyone had the new three hand VC Overseas in yet. Jackpot. It's even more stunning in person, the picture doesn't do it justice. The dial is amazing, gorgeous and deep, the bracelet is perfect (comes with a leather and a rubber strap as well), and has a tool-less strap change feature.
Plus, they quoted me a pretty attractive discount off list, especially for a brand new model at an AD. Gulp. This could very well be my last serious watch. It really has to be seen to be appreciated.
I'm here two more days--really wasn't planning on making this purchase until next year, but...

I like. Bezel looks just a bit thick though.

I like too, though I think I like previous model better.
Do the two chapter rings bother you?

I like the previous chrono better than the new one (can't abide the 4:30 date), but like the new three hander much more than the old. The two chapter rings make perfect sense to me--the inner one is for minutes, the outer with its finer gradations, for seconds.

Here's something I never thought two years ago I would ever say, but I'm in until I get to the date window. Remove it a add the missing index and minute track and I would say you found the VC I would own. Maybe it works better in person? The rest I agree is stunning.

Tell everyone you saw it on IWL!

Wonderful. And I really mean it. Not to mention the (probably) most comfortable bracelet currently available.
However, the cynic in me doesn't stop wondering if the blue dial, no matter how good it looks now (and it looks great) will stand the test of time. With a less expensive watch, that doesn't really matter, but @ this price level... I would think twice...Perhaps it's just me being too conservative and unjustifiably too careful.

For me, for a sports watch, I like having a date. This one works well in person for me, because (1) it's beautifully finished and framed; and (2) it sets the 9:00 index off well--obviously not as perfect size-wise as a matching 3:00 index, but not obtrusive and a good compromise in terms of being large enough to read without being huge and throwing things off.

If it were going to be my only watch, or even my only sports watch, or even my only sports watch on a bracelet, I might agree (although I love and have not tired of my other blue dials). However, I am fortunate enough that if I should temporarily tire of it, I could strap on another color--my Breguet Marine, my Snowflake, my Hulk, my Yachtmaster, even my H2O Orca. All of those are bracelet watches with white or gray dials and dates. An embarrassment of riches, I know.

In that case, that watch must be at the top of the list. Plus, VC is, by far, my favourite high-end brand.

Beautiful watch, and beautiful shade of blue.
