    1887 Now Named CH-01

I saw this on the Calibre11 forums, and some members might have seen it there, but Biver announced that the 1887 will be renamed the CH-01 movement.

Marketing? Or just JCB implementing his new personality onto the brand?

TAG is all over the place right now due to instability in management.

I would argue the opposite. Organizing the movements like this could make it easier to distinguish what functions are included. Let's say down the road they tweak the movement with different layouts and add in some extra functions. If you add to CH-01 chronologically it's easier to remember what is what.
