    so how bout these then I could use the existing hands would they take a four o'clock crown ?

    yes might be tempted to price up the dial and hands on that one. as it was just one I had seen ready done. think it would work for the first one not sure for the second one thou with the gold internal bezel ?

    The fact that there was a hidden day/date in the background would bother me

    I do like the first dial with the gold markers though.

    yeah and no if I knew maybe got one that was a bagglesport done like a miluasse and you don't notice unless setting the time you can hear it click on to the next date some times. but when on then you don't notice it if I went silver could use the hands I got and it would cost me a £5 where if I went gold would need to source hands too but ..so like the gold one better but might do silver
