Every year, our wonderful fire department does a Santa run, taking almost eight hours to travel around our rural district. Special needs kids who may be living in the district get to ride in the trucks with Santa, and the convoy visits as many side roads as possible where Santa gives out candy canes to young and old alike and gathers cash and food donations for the food bank up in the city.

Santa, and our amazing fire chief Stephanie. Twenty-two years we've lived out here, and we never get tired of the Santa run!

Any cute Christmas traditions in your area?

Even a broken watch shows correct time once or twice a day. I ought to know, I have a few!

Seems to be a thing. I had a very strange moment on Saturday with the Santa fire truck out in the suburbs.

I just read an article that went on and on about whether instilling belief in Santa Claus is like "training wheels for (believing in) G Zuss."
    G Zuss! Some people!

I think kids should have fun any which way they can. Dang it,

Absolutely! You're not a kid for very long...have fun while you are.
