    I twice followed this piece of oft repeated advice. Once with a chunky strap it looked ok-ish. With something smarter it looked awful.

    Whenever I search for a 19mm strap, the results are dominated by Hirsch

    Two simple things should be taken away, from the various advice above:

    1) Buy the straps and the watches will follow.
    2) Buy watches and you will need straps on top of those supplied.

    Strap advice?

    Don't order from Hodinkee if you're outside the U.S. They ship UPS but don't tell you and I just got a call asking if I wanted them to broker it. It if was the normal $10 fee then fine, but they wanted $50 so told them to send it back. One strap. I don't think so Jim.

    Put the damn thing in an envelope with a couple stamps and it will get here.
