I have admired this in pictures and seen it once in the steel at a GTG, but I have never handled one before. Wow! The case is familiar from the BTR chrono but the steel bezel and pusher caps make it 'dressier' (and oddly make it seem bigger by comparison to the chrono). The white dial is quite flat and contrasts nicely with the waffled subdials. I thought the hands might lack contrast and becoem invisible against the white dial but the minute and hour hands have thick stainless edges and are quite legible (applied markers also have these thick edges). The finish is superb - a minor point that is easy to miss is that the markers do not go all the way to the chapter ring and allow the printed minute track to be seen.

Date subdial (at 3 o'clock) is advanced by the top pusher. GMT hand is advanced by the bottom pusher. Chapter ring has 24 hour scale for the GMT hand. I am hoping this make it easier for me to interpret the second time zone than other GMTs.

Lume shot - not too bad by Ebel standards

You already know how I feel about the Ebel BTR GMT, Rory! I have never seen or felt a better bracelet anywhere at any price....like liquid metal.

Hope to see you soon for a mini Boston GTG after the holidays.

    Cheers,

    Walter

Nice choice. Ebel makes a great bracelet for that watch.

Congrats. Always been a fan of Ebels. They are a kind of an underdog that is worthy of any WIS collector.
