Thanks, Jane. Yes it is: my dad bought it new in Switzerland (Bucherer's) in the early 50's, and wore it actively until the mid 70's. We took our first trip as a family to Europe in 1976, and visited the same Bucherer store in Lucerne where he bought a new Rolex Submariner (mom got a Tudor Princess Oysterdate). By then, this little Tudor was pretty beat up and consigned to a drawer. In the 80's, my dad gave it to me, and in the 90's I had the movement and dial overhauled. Dad passed before he could see it finished, unfortunately.

    Sherry,

Thank you for sharing the story of your watch. It truly is special. Clearly, the love of fine timepieces runs in your family!
