I picked up a couple more extremely affordable watches, including a Casio Edifice and a Burberry quartz chrono.....then I decided to try some slightly nicer watches
After learning a bit more about what I liked and did not like, I sold the Orient Star and the Steinhart. The OS wore a bit small,a nd it was too dressy for my regular wear. The Steinhart felt *too* knockoff to me, so it left as well.
I gained an interest in the micro brands, so I picked up the following (no pictures)
Lew & Huey Acionna
Lew & Huey Cerberus
Melbourne Hawthorn (inadvertently gifted to my father.....he fell in love with it)
Then I decided to go with some slightly nicer watches, all of which I still have and wear:
I really enjoyed my Jazzmaster, so I picked up another, Seaview on the left
To end the year I decided to step up to a slightly nicer level of watch and add my first German watches. Not my picture.
To finish the year I picked up a Nivrel Deep Ocean GMT a week or two ago, no pics yet, so another Google image. It is receiving the most wear of any right now.

You sure it wasn't "Mediocre"?
I kill me
Nice pick ups. Enjoyed seeing the progression over the year. Quite the progress you made. What's next on the hit list?

Like that old Oris. May need to look in to adding one.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

26 or 27, depending on whether or not I still count the Hawthorn that my father "borrowed" lol

Technically, I have already purchased a Melbourne Avalon....but it has yet to be built. I have not decided if it will be for me or my dad. If he likes it, it will be his along with the Hawthorn.
I would like to round out the German watches with a third piece, possibly a Stowa Prodiver or one of the Muhle offerings.

Everything I do is Mediocre
Aside from considering a German, I am also hoping to pick up 2-3 other watches this year. I seem to keep gravitating towards Ball's red line watches, Fortis chronographs, and Meistersinger single hand watches.
If I can find the smaller version of the Oris XXL Regulateur though, that is my next purchase at any point in time.

I was skeptical at first, but I like it. Apparently, small watches are not the devil lol

Thanks for sharing.
It's always nice to have the opportunity to follow and understand the different ways we enjoy this hobby.
Cheers,

P.S.: BTW, I refuse to call you (or your collection) Mediocre.
