Shanghai Ren Chen reissue
I was just browsing Good-Stuffs and saw this, which I think is a new model.
It looks gorgeous, and I've been very happy with the cheap Shanghai reissues (He Ping, etc) that I own, but for 4x the price this needs to be a lot more watch. Does anyone have any experience of it?

I notice that the movement is a NOS SS7 from 1970

Yes, the canvas strap is a nice touch, too

To be honest, I would not spend the money on it.
The SS7 movement is nothing special. You can find it in numerous $30 shanghai watches on the bay.I don't see what's so special about that movement. The 611 reissues are much nicer and a fraction of the price.
Perhaps there's something I don't see?

I would however be tempted with the retrograde seconds 529-5-45 shown on the same page
