    JDM models vs. international

I'm sure this has been done to death somewhere, but I'm looking to get a G-Shock after having been G-Shock-less for a number of years. Thought it might be neat to get something JDM or otherwise less available outside of Japan. I'm guessing with the fancy internet thing it's do-able to get anything anywhere, but thought I'd ask to see if there was any relatively easy way to tell what is domestic vs. for export.

Any input would be much appreciated....

The model numbers give away for which market the watch has been produced. JDM models have a suffix starting with a "J" after the cipher, like -1JR, -1JF, etc. Not all JDM models are available outside Japan and not all models can be found in Japan.

If you check out the monthly release in Japan, you can see what's coming up. Normally a few days before the start of a new month Casio publish what's new for the next month:

    Cheers,
