So, as we enter 2015, this is how the collection looks....

I have tried to keep my collection focused on watches for a purpose or use, and to avoid too much duplication. I have been fortunate for the last few years, but unfortunately I am not working at the moment. That means that my collection is likely to stay as it is until things pick up. Probably no bad thing though, as it's about where I want it for now. I have watches in the following categories:

    Everyday wear
    Dressier options
    More casual wear
    Beater / exercise etc
    Sentimental pieces / gifts

    Here they are:

My most worn watch, and default everyday piece, the Sub 14060M

A dressier option, my Perigraph. Also, a pocket watch for fun

A couple of more casual options, the Speedy as my default weekend watch and and the Seiko for more casual and rougher duties (a great grab and go watch)

Really rough stuff, or cycling and running? This works for me

These are all sentiment pieces and gifts. My 21st birthday present, a gift from my daughter on the day of her birth and my (late) dad's 21st present from 1961

The wife has quite a nice little collection now. As well as a whole stack of broken, cheap, "needs a new strap / battery" watches in a box, she has this little group:

A wedding present from me, many years ago

Another gift from me, bought while shopping before Salon QP one year

And another (see the theme here?) gift. For swimming, gardening etc

And the latest unexpected purchase. After being told I was to just look, and not buy, while browsing a local shop she then asked me for this

    G-Shock: GW3000B-1A
    Rolex: Submariner 14060M
Accurist: 1961 Shockmaster (Gold) & 1965 Shockmaster (Steel)
    Omega: Speedmaster Professional 3570.50.00
    Meistersinger: Perigraph AM1002
    Ben Sherman: S489.OOBS
    Rotary: 1990 Quartz (Gold)
    Steinhart: Ocean GMT 39mm
    Certina: DS Super PH500M & DS PH200M
    Timex: MKI Mechanical

Thank you. My missus doesn't think I'm terribly mature most of the time...

Thank you. Yes, they won't be going anywhere in a hurry! Getting my daughter a gold watch for her 21st (in many years time) will keep the tradition going...
