Thread: What was your greatest bargain?

    What was your greatest bargain?

I just picked up a nice old clock for a fiver on ebay and the warm fuzzy feeling of an ebay bargain reminded me of a few bargains in the past. I'm trying to work out what my best ever was, but while I think about it, I thought I'd throw the question open.

    What was yours?

I guess the focus is watches, but if it wasn't and is too good not to share, Ill not be complaining...

Mine's boring now cos it keeps coming out for various reasons, Certainly was my greatest 2nd hand bargain last () year.

    It never bores me though

    But here it is:

If I told you how little I paid for it (a mere two years old) I'd have to kill you.

Best bargain to date is a joblot of 9 watches for £31.

Watch N°1 a mint Breil Ducati One. I paid £350 odd back in 2004 for one.

Watch N°2 a very good condition and now running Roamer Rotopower 44 with MST436 movement. Just needs the split stem to arrive from Italy.
Seen these go for about £200 on the bay.

Watch N°3 a good condition Swiss Emperor. Runs but needs a new acrylic crystal. Not sure on value but might keep it.

    The rest were junk quartz.

From last year probably my Steel Bifora Unima Chronometer version. It's a rare watch and already had a gilt version, but this was just a steel. Came from a watch dealer who probably didn't investigated it.

And a part of the nice/special movement:
