We all have our own obsessions but since I do things like eat week old meatball sandwiches I can't claim that one.

Actually it's a Kobold from 2002 when their their watches were essentially slightly modified Chronoswisses - right down the the 38mm CH 7523 case. This is good thing since the Kobold brand (not some much any of their watches) kinda skeeves me out.

O, I like the design alright, but then, it's a common motif with German aesthetics: many other brands also have this look.
So, what I don't get is, why / how Mr Kobold charges so much for a classic standard tool design watch that has no other virtue - compared to, say, Damsako with their nifty super-hardened cases.
Maybe Mr Kobold is really good with the ladies, or at golf? or both?
