    The best Rolex ever, that's a difficult one. Not anything recent in my opinion. Any type has their charm. So I'd say the best daytona ever is of course the PN:


    The best GMT? The 6548 of course:


    The best sub/dweller would be the 6538:


    The best daydate? A grey dialed 1803:


    And last but not least, the best Datejust? My 1601 of course!

    You know, I would not dispute a single one of your picks. And you reminded me I miss my 1601. Yours is a beautiful example.

    I posted my modern sub because it's what I have, but I'd trade it for that 6538 in a hot second!

    The modern sub...improved profile, bracelet, bezel and clasp. But the design still keeps in line with its heritage and is classic!
