Really like that color. Plus, it matches your tattoos.

Thanks for all the helpful advice, words of encouragement, private messages and even the two offers to purchase. I would like to
1) Apologize if I caused any disappointment
2) Point out that yesterday was in fact the 1st of April
My love affair with the DJ2 continues unabated and this is one of only a few watches where I have never had any buyers remorse. Not even now that the steel 41mm has been released so early. If there was anything wrong with the proportions of the DJ2, which I think are sporty, then they have not fixed it by making the dial larger, the effect of which is compounded by the reduction in the size of the hour markers. Also, the blue dial is not available in steel on the 41mm yet.
As for the size - I deliberately chose this old shot for the post, which happened to be taken on the first of a different month. The small size of the phone camera lens, held at such a short distance gives a perspective that causes the watch to look bigger on the wrist than it does to the eye. This is in fact only my 5th largest watch.

I don't understand this comment. The DJ II in 41mm has been available in 41mm for quite a while, but has recently disappeared from the Rolex website. I have had my eye on it for a while as I had been trying to decide between it and the Omega AT 41.5mm blue dial.
Here is DJII on the Jomashop site.

The Datejust 2 is 41mm across and has the 3136 movement. The Datejust 41mm is a newer model with a slimmer bezel and lugs and the new 3255 movement. They are two distinct models. The last time I checked the Rolex website, they were listing only the Datejust 36 and the Datejust 41 in the men's sizes. No more mention of the Datejust 2.
Existing stock of the outgoing Datejust 2 will still be available for some time I suspect.

Thanks, FSM71. I can see the difference now. I prefer the outgoing model(Yours!), so I guess I need to get busy if I am going to evaluate it for acquisition.

Thanks. In my opinion it looks sportier, while the new DJ41 looks slightly dressier.
I got good discount on my DJ2 as buyers were waiting for the 41mm (already available then in Rolesor) to be released in steel with the newer movement. Now that it has been discontinued, the DJ2 might be had for less money - especially since Rolex reduced the AD list on the new watch. The DJ2 was listed in 2016 at $7150. I saw a price of $6300 (unofficial) for the DJ41 which will make it the more attractive option to many. Bargain hard and good luck!
