    Introducing The Revolution "Diver"

First off, thank you so much to IWL for allowing us to post this, it is much appreciated.

The Revolution Watch Company was originally the Boston Watch Company and we ran our design by the folks at the “other place” to perfect it best we could a couple of years ago. Yep, it took us that long to perfect this one. Thanks for that all that contributed!

For my fellow WIS, please keep in mind that we have sourced as many US made components as possible and the “Diver” is a true heirloom watch. While there may be less expensive watches out there, we are proud that every single component of the “Diver” was designed and manufactured by us…..not a single off the shelf part in the entire watch save for the 9015 and a couple of springs.

All case parts are machined here in the good ole' USA. We went to Germany and Switzerland for the dial as we couldn't find anything that lived up to our standards state side (same folks that make some very high end companies dials, which I can't name due to contractual obligations, but we all know and love them), and to Japan for the movement as it's robust, modern and will last several lifetimes. We will be looking for an American dial manufacturer, and hopefully, down the road we can source an affordable American made movement as well. We have been collaborating with an entity that may help us source said movement in the next couple of years....we have our fingers crossed!

The result is the Revolution “Diver”, and following is information pertaining to the watch, but please, if you have any questions, please ask here and we will respond as soon as possible.

OK, now for the pre canned marketing….

The Diver will be available for pre-order soon on Indiegogo! If you want us to let you know when the campaign launches, please sign up for notifications with your email address at www.revwatchco.com. We won’t sell your info and we never SPAM. We’ll just give you a heads up on the campaign. Want to get a little more involved? Our Minutemen will get even better pricing than the rest of our Indiegogo backers. Before the Swiss cornered the market on luxury automatic timepieces, the United States was the world leader in watch innovation and development at attainable prices. It’s been over 40 years since the US was a meaningful competitor in the high performance watch market. We are overdue for an American Watchmaking Revolution!

The Revolution Watch Company in Boston, Mass. is honoring the American watchmaking legacy with its debut watch, The Revolution Diver. This one-of-a-kind timepiece embodies the rugged and independent spirit of the American man. Assembled entirely in Boston using fully custom designed parts, including case parts sourced from domestic manufacturers, the Revolution Diver is an automatic, self-winding watch built for longevity, function, performance and style.

“The Revolution Dive Watch is as American-made as a watch can be,” save for some offerings that cost significantly more said Walter Schofield, founder of Revolution Watch Company. “Nearly every case component is custom machined and sourced in the U.S.A., and the parts that aren’t were custom made at the world's best German and Swiss manufacturers.”

Schofield continued, “It’s been almost 50 years since a truly American-built watch of this caliber under $2,000 has been available, so we’re proud to reignite the heritage. There’s not a single off-the-shelf part and its design will appeal to both the ardent and casual watch enthusiast.”
Located at the epicenter of the “shot heard around the world,” Revolution Watch Company reflects our appreciation of the beginnings of our country and the American inclination towards independence, adventure and innovation.

Unlike many competitors who utilize a stamping process for their cases, the Revolution Diver’s precision cut steel case is milled in the USA on water cooled, 5 Axis CNC machines. This 100% custom-designed timepiece also features
a 120-click dive timing bezel, a pure sapphire domed crystal with an antireflective coating, and raised indices for a sense of depth and improved legibility. Industry leading C3 Superluminova glows brightly on both hands and indices for easy viewing at depths of up to 300 meters. The robust Citizen-Miyota automatic, self-winding movement is accurate, robust and will last for generations. Every component of the Revolution Diver has been designed for optimal legibility and rugged durability under all conditions.

Hailed as the ultimate “beach to boardroom” timepiece, the Revolution Diver is constructed for the rigors of an active lifestyle. From the first moments you experience the heft of the case, observe the smoothness of movement, and feel the comfort of the Diver on your wrist, you understand the care that went into creating a watch truly worthy of the term, “Revolutionary”.

Lifelong watch enthusiasts and Boston residents Walter Schofield and Preston Turk have dedicated their professional lives to bringing high end and affordable watch manufacturing back to the United States. The duo has poured all of their passion, resources and more than 5 years of R&D into their debut watch.

“We can still do this”, said co-founder Preston Turk, “there is no reason we can’t make things that hold so much beauty and are so well executed, and I really like the idea of expressing that through watchmaking, by bringing watchmaking back.”
