    Badges!

Some of you may have noticed a new icon under your user info and avatar. These recognitions are being awarded to members for certain milestones.

Members can receive the following badges:

IWL Badge - Awarded for reaching 500 posts.

IWL 1000 badge - Awarded for reaching 1000 posts.

Library Badge - Awarded upon having a post added to the library.

IWL Vibe Badge - Awarded for notable contributions to the positive 'vibe' of IWL. These members will be chosen by nomination and vote in the Staff Room.

As time goes on, we'll likely add more badges for additional milestones.

Great idea, haven't gotten a badge since Boy Scouts

Myself, Chrono, and Mr.M will be battling feverishly for the new Anti-Vibe award...we formed the "You love to hate us" Club last night, at a strange bar with Japanese doll drink dispensers...a wonderful rockin' time was had by all

I was going to quote, or probably mis-quote, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre but that would seem ungrateful now wouldn't it.

Or, Blazing Saddles (which of course was ripping off the Treasure of The Sierra Madre...). And I think there was a third, though it escapes my memory banks at the moment.

Jeannie, great to see the Staff coming up with some new ideas. Not sure on this one yet myself, but then you know what they say about opinions. You guys are making the effort, and that's what counts.
