  1. #1

    brown strap boundaries

    Charcoal grey suit
    black shoes
    gold watch
    brown strap

I'm imagining there's no getting away with this, is there?

Shoes and belt should match, as should strap if you have a leather one.
I also try to co-ordinate cufflinks and watch dial too, but then I'm a bit obsessive...

Nope. If you're going to sober up a gray suit with black shoes, the watch strap should match.

As all have said, no you can't do brown with this lot.

But you can wear brown shoes, belt and watch strap with a grey suit, especially light grey.

First of all: a belt?! My suit fits, thank you

And the grey is a deep deep charcoal, no brown shoes here.

The reason I was wondering is combinations like this very typical one

When exactly are you notionally meant to wear something like that?
I know I would wear it with jeans and a pink shirt and brown boots given half a chance, but I'm guessing thats outside expectations.

Similarly, when are you expected to wear this?
