Should be a fun small project.
Wonder what can be done about that bezel? Polished and replated? I used to have a home plating kit in a tub.

Better than the 7txx movements that use plastic.
7a28 would be even better as they were a milestone in watch history.

Just searched for what I used to have.
Medallion liquid 24k gold plating solution $35
Can't find a UK seller yet.
In the meantime, sent a quote request to a gold plating company. Let's see what huge number they come up with

I used to to know a guy couple of decades ago ..... Mr Gent , and he was a right gent too .... for nothing he plated a lovely silver antique table clock for my now deceased stepfather.
The company was one of those companies just hanging on on the outskirts of H&S
I guess Mr Gent is gone now too.
