    Artificial Intelligence? Pro or Con?

Not an "expert" on the subject, but as a reasonably educated citizen, and I can also see what could happen.
I do not think it's a good idea to develop it beyond a certain point.

We'd def get our arses kicked for sure.
Skynet. Terminator Salvation, etc. No joke.

BTW, lots of new movies coming out soon on this theme.

You mean don't put too much hardware in control of one (computer/system) without a very good reset button.

I think there has to be a distinction drawn between 'artificial intelligence' - in which devices mimic sentience. And actual sentience... free will. The former, I think is not only possible, but likely inevitable (if not already here). I also don't think it's as much of an issue - since those sorts of AI devices are just complex computers - whatever you put in is what you get out. True artificial sentience of the Star Wars / Star Trek variety isn't something we have to worry about in the near (or even far) future. I'm not convinced that's even possible. But if it is, I suspect we're still very, very far from achieving it.

Which kind of bums me out - as I kid (and also as an adult) I always thought that R2D2 would be one awesome friend.
