I would not mind using Reddit. It's somewhere I already frequent a lot so the change would not be a big deal to me.

Unfortunately vBulletin doesn't have support for webp extemsions. I have added it to the allowed upload list, but when you do that you will only get a link to the file. It can be displayed inline if you have the photo's URL, but to do that it needs to be manually wrapped in [img] [/img] tags.

Yep, I was aware that the img tags work, but at some point in this thread we established that it's better to download source images to the forum server than to just hotlink them, that's why the question. Too bad there are no extensions but not a big deal, really -- I'll either hotlink them as an exception or convert before uploading as I did yesterday.
