Sorry mate, you've been "had". It's a fake. I saw on YouTube that the hands on a Rolex should sweep. A ticking hand is a dead giveaway.

If I was going to spend a decent chuck of change on a quartz, I would have a very hard time deciding between the Oysterquartz or a Grand Seiko quartz. A beautiful watch for sure and that movement.

I'd love to pick one of those up just for that integrated bracelet. I may have to keep my eye out for one. A quartz movement in a Rolex also makes me happy for some reason. It just seems so unreal.

I dig that bracelet! Very nice.
I have never yet done a painting of a quartz movement, but that is one that would be worth painting.
