Q: What do you get for £3.59?
A: Not much
A while ago I took a punt on a Chinese quartz watch with a vaguely interesting look for £3.59 from eBay. Yes, I know, I'm a fool.
(Still, a GMT Chronometer for £3.59!)
It was posted promptly.
Just now:
"Oh, what's that on my doormat with another letter conveniently masking my address"

It's from Jeff

Package opened....looks kind of okay. Case is actually not too bad,

Genuine leather strap (actually not as horrific as many of the genuine leather straps I've had on other cheap watches).

Then I went to set it and the crown came off. Also that date indicator? Stuck on.

Have you already thrown it in the bin? I wonder what the record for watch ownership to binned is

I have. Right after I posted this thread.
The strap is too long for me, so even that wasn't worth salvaging. I suppose maybe I should take the springbars, but I'm not sure I'd trust them.
