Mine might look something like this to start with. I'd re-do the interior.

I'll keep the one I have for now but when the time comes I would like a nice apartment in the middle of a big city as a total antidote to my present life. I'm off now to Google Central London apartments. Will be back with a pic if I find something.

I already know what mine looks like, it costs 730 000 euros. It's a small 4 bedroom 1868 historical home by the beach here in Porto. Although I enjoy modern architecture and I know they are far more practical for living, these old historical houses appeal to me a lot more. Here is a pic of the back, where you an see the stone archways.

And here are a couple of pics of the interior to show what I mean about character.

This looks interesting but I'm a bit concerned it is south of the river!

€730K for a house like that on the beach is a steal!

"Small" four bedroom? Clearly, our definitions of small are quite... different.

    €730,000 ?!?!?

At least you get a camera monopod with character thrown in ?
(That's just what sprung to mind when I saw the bottom of it )

Well, it's a dream house, I could go way bigger but big houses don't appeal to me. This one has 259 square meters, not huge.

    That's a beautiful house Claudio!
I'd like the interior of my house to be like that.

But I love the setting of this one:

    Something like this:

In fact, anything from this site as long as it's got a bit of land.

I love old houses with an irrational passion. The look, the smell, the feel. It's visceral with me.

High ceilings. Glass door knobs. Tongue and groove paneling. Horsehair plaster. Wide sloping porches. Wavy glass. I adore it all.

I would like to live in the woods next to a nice flowing stream all year round, nothing fancy but something like this would do the trick, but in red brick w/ A frame roofs, but also a single story, no stairs for me exception to the stairs would be for a wine cellar.

Maybe not so big, something manageable to keep clean, but enough space to have a home gym & a private watch room & wine cellar.
