    I am a fan of any number of models from the "Originals" series. Like almost all of Timex's branding, what is and is not an "Original" is confusing and inconsistent. I have the sense (I don't remember from where I think I learned this) that at least some of the "Originals" line was not initially intended for sale in the U.S.

    Needless to say, that could be completely wrong:

    The balance between black white and red is good, and I like the seamless integration of the date wheel into the 13-24 ring, in terms of placement and font size
