Thread: Your prefect 4 watch collection

    Your prefect 4 watch collection

The always fun game of spending money you don't have.

If you had unlimited money, what would your perfect 4 watch collection look like. Let's assume you don't need a beater.

    My choices

    Vintage Blancpain

    Vintage rivet plexi dial 3646

Vintage Vostok Amphibian 300m wire lug

Finally for a dress watch (I cheated cause I couldn't decide between two) so one of these two Piagets.

This is always fun, and my answer seems to be a little different every time. Ask me again tomorrow and I'm sure it'll be different again. Anyway, if money was no object (this collection would be anything but cheap), I think these 4 would keep me happy for a while.

    Patek Philippe Nautilus

Lange 1 Moonphase in Rose Gold

    Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph

And, partially because there's nothing particularly water-resistant in this collection so far, and partially because there's no black dial so far, and partially because there's nothing so far I'd be okay with banging around on a daily basis, and partially because I already own one and love it (mine's not yet modified), let's go with an Omega Seamaster 2254.50 modified with a 2230.50 dial and 2201.50 seconds hand, a.k.a. "2254.50+".

Not including sentimental watches I own now... it'd be something like this:

    1. Rolex COMEX Seadweller (for the sheer history of the watch and ocean exploration)

    2. Rolex SeaDweller 4000 (for in the water, right now)

    3. Omega Speedmaster 321 Cal. - personal connection to the Apollo program.

    4. Rolex Explorer II - I guess my tastes and interests in watches have substantially narrowed! But this is truely and honestly the other watch I'd want in my collection.

My perfect four watch collection does not exist, but I know I will always own an Ironman. I'm fickle that way and refuse to play this game of limiting my options. You people are fools!
