    School me on the A17A...

I was lurking the newly listed buy it nows on ebay when this popped up:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-BU...4AAOSwHLNZWVmK

I know a bit about the A11 models and I have a few nice Bulova, but this is a new one on me. However, I know a bargain when I see one so I took a punt.

However, I really don't know much about them. I've had a quick dig around ebay so I'm up to speed on the basics, but can anyone tell me the cool bits?

Cool, so I have the third version, but I'm not sure what that means... It certainly seems a cool watch and I rather hope that at 32x40 it wears large...

small military dials with huge oversized crowns are completely adorable !!relatively small watches[ by todays standards ] but completely normal in the 40's/50's of course -i believe the '3rd version ' denotes a hacking feature doesn't it ? btw the joy of such watches is that they don't or don't have to' wear large ' they are perfectly charming just as they are
