Hey all, I haven't set foot in this forum much, except to look at pics of all the great Rolexes and Tudors. Anyway, my collection is varied and while I have a couple of Tudor watches, the main bulk consists of Omegas.
However, there was always one watch that I've wanted since I was a kid and I finally snagged one this week.
It's a 1982 Sub 5513 with a Maxi Dial IV. Condition-wise, it's pretty good. Dial and hands match, the Cal 1520 movement is clean, and the case has been given a reasonable polish at some point.
The only down-side, which I consider minor anyway, is the after-market bezel insert and crystal. I'm not too fussed since these can be replaced with genuine parts when I get the watch serviced one day.
Time-keeping is pretty good. I haven't checked it properly, but it appears to be keeping good time.
Anyway, all, I just wanted to post about it here, since this is the most logical forum on IWL for it.
I wrote the whole long story over on my blog if any of you want to read it;
