The Bulova I ordered arrived today and it's every bit as nice as I was hoping. I paid £80 and it feels a bargain for that.
Lovely slim case and angled lugs, domed (mineral) crystal and a Miyota quartz movement inside. The design is beautifully retro but updated to a more modern (but still very wearable), 39mm case. The second hand is green, which isn't something I've seen before.

I was expecting the strap to be too long (it was), but I wasn't expecting the spring bars to be the stiffest ones I have ever tackled. I got them off in the end, but not before putting a deep scratch in one of the lugs. It will act as a lesson in patience whenever I wear the watch I guess.
I've put it on a black Stowa strap I had layoff around. (And replaced the spring bars with more forgiving ones!)
